We bought this crib light, despite reviews that it goes through batteries quickly. Unfortunately, those reviews were right. It eats batteries WAAAY too quickly - as in, it didn't last a month with very light use. The sounds and lights are captivating, and the voice-activated mode is handy, but having to unattach the thing all the time just to change the batteries (yet AGAIN) became a nuisance. Now it's just a non-functioning white box on our baby's crib. For "womb sounds", we just place a windup clock in the crib since it's the repetitive "white noise" that comforts the baby, rather than any electronic mother's heartbeat.
